Mary Louise (Cabral) Farrell, known as Marlo, age 78, Swansea, MA, formerly from Pawtucket RI, passed peacefully at home on October 9, 2017 surrounded by family after a 2-year battle with cancer.

Born February 16, 1939 in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Antunes) Cabral and sister of the late Manuel Cabral.

She worked at Carol Cable and Colonial Butcher Shop in Pawtucket while raising her family. She loved to sing and was very artistic. She later started her own business called Marlo’s Family Ceramics in Pawtucket where many family and friends gathered and shared great memories. She made the most beautiful pieces and decorated every inch of the house with them each holiday. Marlo loved to be surrounded and involved with her family, looked forward to visits from her grandchildren, endless drives to any destination, shopping and eating out. She loved talking on the phone with her long-life childhood friend Carol Matuszek and late Beatrice Machado. Mary attended St. Dominic’s Church in Swansea, MA, always made donations to St. Dominic’s Church and other charitable and religious organizations.

Survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward J. Farrell Jr, 4 children; Patrick Farrell and wife Yuraima of Pawtucket, Michael Farrell of Pawtucket, Lisa Farrell and spouse Janice Makarchuk of Rehoboth, William R. Farrell Sr of Pawtucket, her sister Margaret Venturini, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mary will always be remembered for her kindness towards others and for her forever love of her children and grandchildren.

Her funeral will begin on Friday (10/13) at 9:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 GAR Highway, Swansea. Burial will be at Vinnicum Woods Cemetery, Swansea. Calling hours will be on Thursday (10/12) from 4-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital or St. Dominic’s Church.
