William 'Bill" H. Medeiros

Riverside – William H. “Bill” Medeiros, 87, of Riverside, passed away on Thursday May 5, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital.

He was the husband of Carole A. (Palin) Medeiros, they have been married for over 59 years.

Bill was  born in Providence the son of the late Marion (Kilroy) Medeiros.

Bill was a Truck Driver for Hemingway Trucking for many years and M&G Car Carriers before retiring.

He was a US Army Veteran.

Bill has lived in Riverside since 1964 coming from Providence.

He was a member of the Teamsters Local 251, he enjoyed watching Westerns on TV.

Mr. Medeiros LOVED going out to eat (people on Facebook know him for that), he was very much a people person, no matter where he went he knew someone.

Bill had many friends, and he cherished those friendships, he was a quick- witted jokester and he would constantly make people laugh and they LOVED being around him.

He was a HUGE supporter of our Military; he did not miss an opportunity to show his support one way or another.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters Paula Medeiros and her Fiancé Diane Catino of Inverness Florida, Gail Pion and her husband Andy of Cranston, RI, and Karen Golder and her husband Alan of Warwick, RI.

Bill was the grandfather of Andrew Pion and Matthew Pion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Bill was the brother of the late Carlos “Carl” Medeiros Jr., Barbara Guerra and Betty Lou Williams.

His funeral service will be held Thursday May 12,2022 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery,301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Please MEET at the cemetery Administration building no later than 12:45pm.

Burial with Military Honors will follow.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be on Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 4:00pm-7:00pm, in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME,901 Broadway, East Providence.
