Rumford - William J. Kelley,75, fondly known as Bill by his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home in Rumford, RI on October 27, 2023. He was born on April 12, 1948, in Pawtucket, RI, a city he held dear to his heart his entire life. Bill was the beloved husband of Paulette (Dery) Kelley. They shared many happy years together, building a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Bill was a devoted stepfather to Jeffrey Venturini and his wife Karol of Texas, and to Kevin Venturini and his wife Michelle. He loved his role as a stepfather and took pride in the accomplishments of Jeffrey and Kevin.
He was a doting step-grandfather to Anthony, Nicole, and Haley, who he loved deeply. His face would light up at the mention of his step-grandchildren, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Bill was predeceased by his brother John Kelley and is survived by his dear sister, Margaret.
Bill was also a cherished friend to many, including his dear friend Robert "Bob" Venturini of Pawtucket. His friendships, which spanned decades, were a testament to his kindness, loyalty, and jovial spirit. Those who knew Bill appreciated his sense of humor, his storytelling, and his ability to make anyone feel welcome and valued.
Bill was a dedicated worker in the manufacturing field for the former Microfibres Corporation, formerly of Pawtucket, for over 40 years. His hard work and dedication were evident to all who worked with him. He was a pillar of the company, respected by his colleagues for his commitment and his ability to mentor and inspire others. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he took great pride in his contributions to the company.
Throughout his life, Bill was known for his warm personality, his infectious laughter, and his endless stories. He had a love for life that was contagious and a heart that was always open. He was a man who believed in the power of kindness and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always the life of the party. He was an avid reader, a lover of music, and had a keen interest in history. His love for life and his family was evident in everything he did, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
Bill will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. We take comfort in knowing that his life was filled with love and happiness, and that he is now at peace.
In the words of his family, "Bill was a wonderful husband, stepfather, step-grandfather, brother, and friend. He touched many lives with his kindness, his humor, and his love. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever be a beacon of love and joy in our hearts."
As we remember Bill, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
