Wayne Gonsalves Obituary

Wayne Gonsalves, 67, of Rosanna Avenue, Rumford, RI, was reunited with the late love of his life, Maria D. Gonsalves on their 49th wedding anniversary, Thursday, September 22, 2022. Born May 26, 1955, in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Antone and Mary (Parece) Gonsalves.

 Wayne was an avid fisherman, excellent handyman and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Gonsalves and her partner, Stephanie Giragosian of Cranston, RI. Wayne also leaves behind his “favorite” granddaughter Alexis Gouger and her fiancé Joe Esposito III of Cranston, RI. Wayne leaves behind three sisters, Bernice Pacheco of Providence, RI, Brenda Gonsalves of Fairfax, VA and Michelle Galvao of Providence, RI. Wayne was also the brother of the late, Ronnie Gonsalves of Cranston, RI and Glen Gonsalves of Providence, RI.

Calling hours are limited to family members between 8:00am and 9:30am on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. All friends are welcome to join his family at a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence, RI. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
