Robert L. Reed Jr., affectionately known as Bobby, passed away peacefully in his Riverside, RI home on October 2, 2023. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on March 24, 1961, to the late Robert L. Reed Sr. and his surviving mother Edithe (Farley) Reed, Bobby led a life marked by kindness, friendliness, and an ever-interesting personality that left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Bobby was a proud graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School, Class of 1979. His school years were filled with friendships, learning, and the development of a strong work ethic that would guide him throughout his professional career. Bobby's love for culinary arts led him to work as a cook in various restaurants over the years, where his warm personality and culinary skills were highly valued.
Bobby's life was not only about work. He was a man who cherished the simple joys of life. His kind and friendly nature made him a beloved figure in his community. His interesting personality, coupled with his knack for cooking, made gatherings and events all the more special, as he always had a story to tell or a unique dish to share. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room, making every moment spent with him memorable.
In addition to his mother, Bobby is survived by his loving sister, Tina M. Reed of East Providence, and his devoted nephew, Stephen Luthy Jr., also of East Providence. Bobby's strong bond with his family was evident in the care and affection he showed towards them. He was always there to lend a helping hand, share a hearty laugh, or offer words of encouragement. His loss is deeply felt by his family, who take comfort in the beautiful memories they shared.
Bobby's passing leaves a void in our hearts, but his spirit lives on through the countless lives he touched. His legacy of kindness, friendliness, and uniqueness will continue to inspire those who knew him. As we remember Bobby, we celebrate a life well-lived and honor a man who made the world a better place with his presence.
In closing, let us not dwell on the sadness of Bobby's passing but remember the joy he brought into our lives. His laughter, his stories, and his culinary creations will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration. We are grateful for the time we had with him and for the love he shared so generously.
Robert L. "Bobby" Reed Jr., may you rest in peace knowing you have left an indelible mark on this world. Your memory will forever be a beacon of joy, kindness, and love for all those fortunate enough, to have known him.
