Patrick Alan Gouveia

Patrick A Gouveia Sr, 66, of Rehoboth unexpectedly passed away Friday August 25th, 2023 at home.

Born in Providence, RI and raised in Rehoboth, MA he was one of two sons of the late Manuel and Hermina “Emily” (Leiter) Gouveia.

He worked at Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility in Natick, MA for 35 years. He was a member of The Holy Ghost Brotherhood of Charity and President of Dighton Rehoboth Dollars for Scholars.

Patrick loved to farm and was a proud coach for Dighton Rehoboth Strikers. He loved to watch NCIS, NASCAR, and Boston Sports especially the Bruins with his daughter.

Mr. Gouveia is survived by his wife of 30 years Susan (Danzer) Gouveia; his son and daughter Patrick Gouveia Jr and Abigail Gouveia; his brother Kevin Gouveia, his wife Janice and their children Jennifer and Austin of Rehoboth; extended family members and friends. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in his honor on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Saint Dominic's Church, 1277 Grand Army of the Republic Highway, Swansea, MA. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, RI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway East Providence, RI. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. The family requests that all those who are attending the funeral, please report directly to the church on that morning. There will be no public procession from the funeral home.
