Maria R. (Resendes) Silva

Maria R. (Resendes) Silva, 86 of East Providence, R.I., passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at home. She was the husband of the late Francis Resendes.

Born January 30, 1936, in Sao Miguel, Azores she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Conceicao) Resendes.

Mrs. Silva lived in the United States for sixteen years with her daughter and son in law, she worked as a Maintenance Commercial Cleaner for many years. She was a Parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Providence.

She leaves one son, Joao Francisco Silva of Portugal, One Daughter, Vincenta Medeiros (Joseph) of East Providence, R.I., two grandchildren, Sean Medeiros and Neuza Saraiva, two nieces, Fatima Sousa, Maria Tavares, two nephews, Victor Fagundo, Dionicio Garcia, Mrs. Silva was the sister of the late, Brigida Melo, Gilda Fagundo, Odete Sousa, Dionicio Silva.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Rosary church, traverse street, Providence, R.I., Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, R.I.,  for additional information please visit rebellofuneralhome.com
