Maria Livramento (DaRocha) Resendes

East Providence- Maria L. ( DaRocha) Resendes, 82 , of East Providence, passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at RI Hospital

She was the wife of Vicente Resendes, they have been married for over 51 years.

Maria was born in Terceira, Azores, the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria Emilia (Ferreria)DaRocha.

She was an assembler for local jewelry companies for many years.

Maria has lived in East Providence for over 37 years coming from the Azores.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Maria was a member of the Holy Ghost Society and the Trinity Brotherhood Club.

Besides her husband she is survived by a sister Maria Ferreira of Portugal and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Joao Rocha, and the late Maria Lurdes Rocha.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at 12:00pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are MONDAY from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
