Maria Laudalina (Falcao) Rosa

Providence -  Maria L. (Falcao) Rosa, 78 of Providence, passed away on Tuesday  May 9,2023 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Jose Raposa Rosa.

She was born in Felva, Sao Miguel ,Azores  the daughter of the late Manuel Moniz Falcao and Francelina (Lima) Falcao.

Maria was an assembler for the Leviton Manufacturing Company for over 28 years, before retiring.

She has been a Providence resident since 1972 coming from Portugal. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

Maria enjoyed reading, travelling, knitting, cooking cleaning, sewing, baking and embroidery.

However, her favorite activity was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Rosa is survived by her children Victor Rosa and his wife Manuela  of Cranston, Jose Rosa of Providence,  Robert Rosa and his wife Lori of Cranston and Emanuel Rosa and his Fiancé Darlene DaSilva of North Providence.

She was the grandmother of Brian Rosa, Victor Rosa,Jr., Amanda Rosa, Serenity Rosa, and Robert Rosa.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Maria was the sister of the late Arsenio Falcao and the late Adriana Cordeiro, she was also the grandmother of the late Fatima  Rosa.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 12,2023 at 8:30am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Traverse Street, Providence.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
