Maria A. (Serpa) Rosa

Maria A. (Serpa) Rosa of East Providence passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Lincoln Woods Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Antonio Rosa.

Born March 15, 1932, in Pico, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Amelia (DaSilva) Serpa.

Mrs. Rosa worked for EFD Jewelers for many years as a jewelry worker. She was a parishioner of Saint Francis Xavier Church. She loved to cook, loved the Holy Ghost Feast, enjoyed going to the beach and dancing, and adored and loved her family dearly.

Mrs. Rosa leaves one son, Antonio Rosa (Ann) of Coventry, two granddaughters, Tania Rosa and Jessica Mandt (Landon), and two great-granddaughters, Adriana Rego and Alexis Rego.

Mrs. Rosa’s funeral will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, at 7:30 a.m. from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Church, N. Carpenter Street.

Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00–7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
