Laura A Pereira

Riverside – Laura A. Pereira, 85 of Riverside, passed away on Friday December 2, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital.

She was born in Capelo,Faial, Azores, Portugal, the daughter of the late Ricardo Jacinto Pereira and Isabel (Rodrigues) Pereira.

Laura was an assembly line worker for American Tourister for over 30 years.

She has been an East Providence resident all her life.

Laura was a parishioner of St. Brendan Church.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Ms. Pereira is survived by her brothers Ricardo Rodrigues Pereira of Dixon California, Manuel Jose Pereira of Riverside, her sister Maria Alice Brum of Warren.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Helena O’Neill, Suzanne Amaral, Manuel Pereira, Richard Pereira, Isabel Blakely and Mary Brum.

Also survived by her great nieces and nephews Jordan Amaral, Mia Pereira, Robert Blakely, Jesse Blakely and Angelina McKeon.

She was the sister of the late Adelina Tavares.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday Dec. 7, 2022, at 8:30am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Brendan Church, 60 Turner Avenue, East Providence.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5:00pm – 8:00pm in the funeral home.
