LaTonya Ann (Free) Killavey, known affectionately as Tonya to her friends and loved ones, departed this life on February 27th, 2024, at her home in Riverside, Rhode Island. Born on July 14th, 1981, in Houston, Texas, LaTonya was a beacon of love and creativity, whose life was cut short at the age of 42. She was the beloved daughter of Leona (Poznanski) Free of Shreveport, Louisiana, and the late Keith Free.

She flourished academically, first at her hometown college, and later by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington.
