Judite Botelho Correia

Judite (Botelho) Correia, 85 of East Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday May 15, 2023, at Anchor Bay Assisted Living, East Providence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vicente F. Correia to whom she was married to for 61 years.

Born in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria da Gloria (Leandro) Botelho.

Judite worked at Davol Inc. for over 25 years as a Lab Technician.  Upon retirement she devoted her time caring for her grandchildren. Judite was a kind and compassionate person who loved her children and grandchildren immensely.  She was an amazing cook who enjoyed traveling to the Azores, embroidery, and spending time with her family.  Judite had a beautiful smile and even bigger heart.  She will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by her three daughters Grace DeVall and her husband Frank of Riverside, Paula Ferrara and her husband Steven of Rehoboth and Sonia Knowles and her late husband Michael of Riverside: Seven devoted grandchildren who thought the world of her,  Andrew DeVall and his wife Kara, Cameron DeVall and his wife Sheena, Rachel Ferrara, Ryan Ferrara, Jillian Ferrara, Alexander Knowles, and Ayden Knowles,  two great-granddaughters  Charlotte and Sophia DeVall, her beloved dog Teddy, and many nieces  and  nephews.

She was the sister of the late Nemesio Botelho and Inesia Maucabelo

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 20, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street, East Providence.
