John Joseph Sullivan

Warren - John J. Sullivan, 81 of Warren, and formerly of Rumford, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 27, 2023, at the Crestwood Nursing Home in Warren, RI.
He was born in Providence, the son of the late James H. and Margaret (Walsh) Sullivan.

John was an insurance adjuster for Met Life for over 15 years. He previously had worked in sales for the former Criss Cadillac of Providence.

John, a bird enthusiast, was a founding member of the Ocean State Bird Club. He was a great outdoorsman.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his brothers and sisters, James Sullivan of Rumford, Jeffrey Sullivan of Central Falls, Joyce Boyce of East Providence, and Janet Pietruszka of Rumford.

He was a loving uncle and best man to Scot Hennessey, Erin McNalley, Tiffany Cavielier, Terrence Boyce, Kevin Boyce, Brittany Pietruszka, and Brandon Pietruszka.

He was the brother of the late Jayne Henessey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 10:30 am in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Ave, Rumford RI.

Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, 661 Prospect Street, Pawtucket, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
