Jeanine Michelle Dias

New Bedford – Jeanine M. Dias, 53, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday June 2,2023 at home.

She was born in Cranston, the daughter of Joao "John” Dias and the stepdaughter of Armandina Dias of Smithfield and the daughter of Cynthia (Cravin) and stepdaughter of John Paloulian of Coventry.

Jeanine was a Life Skills instructor for Avatar, where she helped mentally challenged adults with their daily activities.

She has lived in New Bedford for the last 6 years, coming from West Warwick.

She loved cooking for her family and friends, and loved her animals, especially cats and dogs. And spending time outdoors in nature.

However, her favorite time was spending time with her son and granddaughter.

Besides her parents and stepparents, she is survived by her son John Dias, her sisters Crystal Dias of Portsmouth, Tanya Forti of Smithfield, and Jennifer Paloulian of Bristol.

She was the aunt of Brianna, Alexa, Christian, Madison, and Tyler.

Jeanine was the grandmother of Emma Cher Dias.

Her funeral service will be held Friday June 9, 2023, at 12:00 noon in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME 901, Broadway, East Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday MORNING from 10:30am to 12:00pm at the funeral home.
