Giles John Costa

East Providence – Giles J. Costa, 89, of East Providence, passed away on Sunday April 30,2023 at the Linn Health Care, in East Providence.

He was the husband of the late Patricia J. “Pat” (Faulkner) Costa.

Giles was born in East Providence, the son of the late John and Mary (Amaral) Costa.

He was a welding support specialist for Electric Boat for over 15 years, before retiring.

Giles was a US Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War.

An East providence resident all of his life, he was a former parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church, he enjoyed woodworking and model trains.

Giles was also an usher at the Showcase in Seekonk for many years.
He had a love for music which led him to play guitar, sing, and was a band director, he also played in bands, for many years.

Mr., Costa is survived by his son Steven Costa and his wife Barbara of Rumford , his daughter Annette Costa Geremia of Warwick.

Mr. Costa was the grandfather of Traci Williams, Derek Costa, and Christy Silva , and the great grandfather of Logan and Maddox.

He was the father of the late Jeffrey John Costa, and the late Linda Jeanne Costa.

His funeral services will be private.
