North Providence – Gerard M. E. Olivier,80 of North Providence, died Tuesday May 10,2022 at Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston.
He was the husband of Cynthia (Pacheco) Olivier.
Gerard was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Marcel and Frances (Blanchard) Olivier.
He was a laborer in a Steel mill for many years , before retiring.
Gerard has lived in North Providence for over 15 years.
Mr. Olivier was very active with the Knights of Columbus, on Bassett Street in North Providence.
Besides his wife he is survived by his stepsons Quentin Souza of North Providence, Jason Souza of Riverside, his stepdaughter Crystal Souza of South Easton ,MA.
He was also the brother in law of Richard A. Pacheco of Riverside.
Gerard was the grandfather of Brian Fowler .
He was the brother of the late Nelson Olivier and Marie Simpkins .
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Blessed Sacrament Church, on Academy Avenue in Providence.
