Genevieve Ann (Silva) Jordan

East Providence – Genevieve A. (Silva) Jordan,83, of East Providence, passed away on Saturday, May 6,2023 at Hope Hospice in Providence.

She was the wife of the late Sydney S. Jordan, Jr.

She was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Anthony and Sadie (Sousa) Silva.

Genevieve was a bookkeeper for Crisloid Plastics, before retiring.

 She was a member of the PTA, Girl Scouts, also an avid Bingo player.

She was the treasurer for St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Vestry and also a vestry member, also a member of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Women’s Club.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her children Michael Jordan of East Providence, Beverly Jordan of Pawtucket, Cheryl Gianlorenzo of East Providence. She was the mother of the late William S. Jordan.

She was the sister of Robert Silva of Pawtucket, and the grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 5.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Genevieve was the sister of the late Joan Stevenson, Joyce Fonseca.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday May 18, 2023, at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 81 Warren Avenue, East Providence, burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, 1 Rhode Island Avenue, Johnston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend, calling hours on Wednesday from 4:00pm – 7:00pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charity of your choice.
