Francisca Rocha "Fran" (da Rocha) Pacheco

Francisca “Fran” Rocha Pacheco, 88 of East Providence, R.I., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at East Gate Nursing Home surrounded by her Loving Family.

Born December 3, 1933, in Araruama, Estado do Rio, Brasil she was the daughter of the late, Joao Climaco and Rosalina (Amorim) da Rocha.

Mrs. Pacheco worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years, first with United Methodist Health Center and ending her healthcare career at East Gate Nursing Center. She enjoyed Gardening, Sewing, and most of all, getting out on the dance floor and having a ball. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends of which she had many. The passing of Fran has had a significant impact as many are losing a treasured friend and the Matriarch of the family.

She leaves three daughters, Sandra Regina Pereira of East Providence, R.I., Tania Antonson (Robert) of North Smithfield, R.I., Katia Bowden (Joseph) of Pawtucket, R.I., two sons, Eduino Pacheco Jr., of Pawtucket, R.I., Alexander Pacheco (JoAnn) of Rehoboth, MA, one Sister, Deijanir Costa of Brasil, one Brother, Mancio A. daRocha of Brasil, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, Mrs. Pacheco was the sister of the late, Amailia Oliveira and Lia Oliveira. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Friday, September,16, 2022 from 8:00-12:00 noon in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 901 Broadway, East Providence, R.I.
