Francis "Butch" Medeiros

Frank "Butch" Medeiros, 67 of East Providence, passed away at RI hospital on Saturday August 19, 2023, surrounded by his family and friends. He was the son of the late Francis Medeiros and Lilian Ferreira Medeiros.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Mari Lawrence and his two children, Eric Medeiros, and Lindsay Medeiros both of East Providence.

He was the proud and doting Grandfather to Savannah Medeiros and Coen Medeiros, who would bring such immense joy to his days. He also leaves behind a large, loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Butch was hard working and was the proud owner of Ferreira Oil Inc in East Providence.  He also previously owned Newsflash Magazine Store and The Zone Deli. For many years, the Zone Deli was a gathering place for friends and many fun memories were made there. 

He was an avid fan of motorcycles and classic cars. He had owned several over the years, but his favorite was his 1955 Chevrolet, which he had owned for decades. Butch also loved cultivating a vast variety of tropical plants, trees, and flowers. His favorite kind of Sunday was one driving with his family to his favorite local greenhouses and admiring plants.

Butch had a big heart, a quick wit and was a true friend. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Monday, August 28,2023 from 4:00pm- 7:00pm at the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI.

 His burial will be private.
