Dolores Jean (Lynskey) Costa 87 of Grand Avenue passed away Monday, May 16, 202 at Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank Costa.
Born February 2, 1935, in Providence, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Ermalinda (Vincent) Lynskey.
Mrs. Costa worked for The Veterans Administration in Providence, R.I., as a Ward Secretary for fifteen years retiring in 1997, worked various jobs including Interpak in Pawtucket, R.I., Feitas Bakery in North Providence, During the 1950’s she worked at Walgrens in the Pentagon Building, she enjoyed singing in the choir at school, enjoyed bingo and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
She leaves one daughter, Donna Ohern (John Bettencourt) and her son Johnny of Cranston, R.I., two sons, Frank Costa Jr., of Norwell, Massachusetts, Derrick Costa of North Providence, R.I., three grandchildren, Gabriella Costa, Joseph Costa, Gianna Costa, one brother, Joseph Lynskey (Linda) of Seattle, Washington, one sister, Emmy Berard of Oregon, Lisa (Caruso) Costa one brother-in-law, Joseph Costa, and many nieces and nephews, and her Corgi Mix, Tigger,
Mrs. Costa was the sister of the late, Loretta Lynskey Ferreira.
Her funeral will be held Friday, May 20, 2022, at 8:30 am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, R.I., to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the rosary church, Traverse Street, Providence, R.I., Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, R.I., Calling Hours will be held Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME.
