Christopher Carlos Bly

 Providence - Christopher Carlos Bly,35, of Providence, known affectionately by his loved ones as Chris, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2023, at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Born on April 22, 1988, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Carlos Eugene Bly, Sr., and Gina (Rufo) Bly, Chris was a beloved figure in his family and community, remembered for his interesting personality, passionate spirit, and his humorous nature that brought joy to those around him.

Chris was the devoted domestic partner of Cyril DeMello, with whom he shared many cherished moments and memories. He was an unwavering pillar of support and a source of constant love for his children, Malahkai, Jasper, Shyeera, and Rosie. His love for his family was palpable, and he was a guiding light in their lives.

In addition to his partner and children, Chris is survived by his   stepmother Bernadette Ozug, of Fall River, and  his siblings Jeremiah Harrison of Providence, Carlos E. Bly, Jr., of Somerset, Vanessa Bly of Fall River, Jinnelle Harrison of Providence, Madeline Bly of Fall River, Jada Harrison of Brockton, and Shayla Harrison of Woonsocket. His nieces and nephews, too, held a special place in his heart, and he leaves behind a multitude of fond memories for them to cherish.

Chris was a man of diverse interests that added depth to his personality. He was an avid gamer, finding joy and relaxation in the virtual worlds he explored. His love for music was equally profound, and he often used it as a backdrop for his daily life, adding rhythm and melody to every moment. Chris was also a dedicated follower of the WWE, his enthusiasm for the sport apparent in his animated discussions and debates.

One of his most enduring interests was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a love he carried from his childhood into adulthood. It was a testament to his youthful spirit, and he often used episodes of the show as a bonding activity with his children. However, above all, Chris cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a man who valued familial bonds deeply and made every effort to nurture and strengthen them.

Chris's life was filled with laughter, passion, and an interesting array of experiences that shaped him into the man he was. He had an innate ability to find humor in the simplest of things, making those around him smile even on the cloudiest of days. His passionate nature reflected in everything he did, from his hobbies to the way he cared for his family. He was an interesting individual, his diverse interests and unique perspective on life making him a joy to be around.

The loss of Christopher Carlos Bly is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory lives on in the hearts of those he touched with his humor, passion, and interesting spirit. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived, and he will forever be remembered as a beacon of joy in the lives of his loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 12:00pm- 3:00pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI.
