Americo Silva Obituary
East Providence – Americo Silva, 89, of East Providence, passed away on Tuesday July19,2022 at the Orchard View Manor in East Providence.
He was the husband of the late Grimaneza M. “Gina” (DaSilva) Silva.
Americo was born in Faial, Azores, the son of the late Jose and Jesuina (Rodrigues) Da Silva.
He was a laborer and paver for a road construction company for many years.
Americo enjoyed playing dominos, reading, and taking walks. He was an avid fan of Benfica, he loved watching them play soccer.
Mr. Silva is survived by his daughter Maria “Lisa” Moniz, his sister Salome Rodrigues Silva of Bristol, a brother Mario Rodrigues DaSilva of Newport.
He was the grandfather of Sabrina Moniz and Brianna Moniz, and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Americo was the brother of the late Salome Rodrigues Silva .
A committal prayer service will be held Saturday July 23, 2022, at 9:00am in the Chapel of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
