Alexandrina C. (Paulo) Cordeiro

Alexandrina C. Cordeiro, 89, of East Providence, RI passed away on August 3, 2022, at Waterview Villa Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside.  She was the devoted wife of the late Luiz Cordeiro.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose Botelho and Brazelina (Sousa) Paulo.  She was the youngest sister of the late Ilda Martins; Odilia Camara; Idalina, Eduardo, Manuel and Diniz Paulo.

She leaves two daughters, Alda M. Cordeiro and Natalia C. Lima and son-in-law Joseph, from Riverside, RI; and four adoring grandchildren Justin Medeiros and wife Ashley, Breana Medeiros, Kelsey Lima and Alexandra Lima.

Alexandrina, better known to many as Conceicao or Connie, took pride in her work ethic that she passed on to her children and grandchildren.  She worked for many years at Davol Inc., Cranston, RI, as a machine operator, but the role that she enjoyed the most was spoiling the loves of her life—her grandchildren.  She thrived on having a clean house and a refrigerator full of cooked meals for her family.  Her values, loyalty and love will continue in her family’s lives as her legacy will live on; she will never be forgotten.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday August 9,2022 at 8:30 am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Traverse Street, Providence RI, followed by the graveside burial at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Monday August 8, 2022, from 4:00pm-7:00pm in the funeral home.
