Riverside - Alan L. Kantorski, 75, a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in East Providence, Rhode Island, on July 25, 2023.
Born on August 20, 1947, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Alan was the cherished son of the late Edward and Audrey (Burke) Kantorski. He was a man of intelligence, marked by a dry sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.
Alan was a proud alumnus of Northeastern University, where he earned a master’s degree in business administration in 1971. His education laid the foundation for a successful career as a business owner. For many years, he was the proprietor of Dortek Manufacturing, a screw machine company, where he showcased his innovative spirit and technical acumen by producing numerous products.
His dedication to his work was a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to providing quality products to his clients. Alan was more than just a businessman; he was a loving father to his two children, Jonathan A. Kantorski (wife Lauren, and grandchildren Audrey and Ella) of Chepachet, Rhode Island, and Kendra Kantorski-Mangione (husband John) of Warwick, Rhode Island.
His love for them was evident in his actions and words, and he took great pride in their accomplishments. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Alan was the brother of the late Glenn Kantorski. He was also a cherished uncle to Andy and Gary Kantorski, who will remember him fondly. In his leisure time, Alan enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and fishing. Alan L. Kantorski will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also his unique sense of humor and his passion for life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
His life serves as a testament to the power of dedication, love, and humor. Alan will be greatly missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.
