Obituary

Joseph “Joey” P. Sullivan, age 59, of Veterans Memorial Parkway, East Providence died unexpectedly on January 19, 2019 at RI Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 10, 1959, in Pawtucket, the son of the late Joseph Francis Sullivan and the late Clara Bell (McNeil) Sullivan.

Joseph worked as a service engineer for RT Solutions. He proudly served our country with the US Navy. He was treasurer and a proud member of the East Providence Elks. He was a founding member and Road Captain of the East Providence Elks Riders RC.

He is survived by his siblings; Mary Theresa Case and Dennis Michael Sullivan both of Pawtucket, Kelly Sullivan of East Providence. He was predeceased by his sister Joann Marie Sullivan. He was the uncle of Julie, Jacqueline, Jacob, Crystal, Sandra, Shawna, Shanna, Kayla, Joann-Katrina, Kristie, Karissa and many great nieces and nephews. He is survived by his life partner Marcie Gravel-Mello and her son Tyler Mello of East Providence.

His funeral will begin on Monday (1/28) at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Ave., East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Calling hours will be on Sunday (1/27) from 5-8PM.
