Mary Ann Broderick, age 63, of Mendon, MA died April 5, 2019 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. Her husband Francis Charles Broderick predeceased her in 2014. She was born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late George A. Ventura and the late Olive M. (Silva) Ventura.

She grew up in Swansea and graduated from Case High School, played the flute in the marching band, was a pitcher on the girls softball team and played volleyball.

Mary Ann had worked as a bookkeeper for various doctors. She worked as a tour Guide for Collette Tours, where she met her husband, Francis. She started her own interior decorating business and had many clients, who became good friends. She was an artist using different mediums. Family was of utmost importance to her and her sense of humor knew no bounds. “Mona” was in charge of the Silva Family Gazette and was also on many Ventura Family Reunion Committees. “Mert” was also the sous chef of the little known 124 1/2 Restaurant and leaves behind her Partner, “Gert”.

She is survived by her sister Susan James of Rochester, NH, two nieces; Jennifer James of Rochester, NH, Melissa Woods and her husband Michael and their sons Matthew and Ethan Woods all of Newmarket, NH. She will be missed by her friendly companion, Molly. She leaves behind her best friend, Cheryl Rego, as well as many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Tuesday (4/16) at 11am at the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. Calling hours are omitted. Burial is Private.
