Amelia (Monteiro) Rojao, 91, of Englewood Ave., Pawtucket, died surrounded by her family Monday afternoon, Oct. 6, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of Jose J. Rojao.

Born May 2, 1923, in Valley Falls, RI, she was a daughter of Jose Monteiro and Maria do Carmo (Videira) Monteiro. She was a dress maker for many years at Pawtucket Dress before retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and was a member of Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente for 65 years.

In addition to her husband of 63 years, she leaves her daughter, Mariana R. Sequeira and her husband James of Rumford; a grandson, Dr. Scott Sequeira and his wife Dr. Maggie Hymowitz Sequeira of Newton, MA; her granddaughter, Lauren Sequeira of Attleboro, MA; her great grandchildren, Reiss and Simon Sequeira; and her sisters, Tereza Carvalho and Eliza Monteiro, both of Pawtucket.

Her funeral will begin Friday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow at the Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5pm to 8pm.
